Electronics Technician (Fort Collins)

compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE
A leading supplier of water analysis equipment and instrumentation has an excellent opportunity for an Electronics Technician to work in the production engineering department. * Component level troubleshooting of analog and digital PCBA's
* Design, build, and maintain testing and manufacturing equipment
* Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, PC boards, and test equipment
* Work with vendors on quality issues and new product introductions
* Recommend test fixtures and other improvements in order to increase manufacturing yields and quality
* Maintain instrumentation calibration and documentation
* Manufacturing floor support and problem solving using proven critical thinking skills
* Manage time and priorities in an effort to meet all established schedules and deadlines

* Applies principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing to improve products and processes
* Ability to analyze and interpret test data, and to present this data in a technical report
* Strong soldering skills including PCBA rework and surface mount components
* Ability to read electrical schematics
* Ability to use electronics diagnostic tools such as an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator, and multi-meter
* Ability to diagnose PC board problems on analog and digital circuits
* AS degree in electronic engineering (or equivalent) or 3-5 years of related experience
* Ability to work closely and effectively with engineering and manufacturing personnel
* Problem solver and team player with a strong work ethic
* Applicant should have good planning and organizational skills, strong testing and validation skills, and basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications
* Comfortable with mechanical assemblies

* Experience with sensor design and operation
* Experience with microprocessor operation and programming
* Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools
* Lean manufacturing experience
* Computer skills -- Office software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
