We are selling our beautiful Antique Marble Roman Mosaic Floor Section.
Notice the three six-pointed stars down the center, very eye catching!
It could be inset in a floor or a table top.
Our photos show how gorgeous it is when inset into a table, but you can imagine that same look in your floor.
As you can see in the photos, the tiles are grouted together and hold the form of the original mosaic.
They are not separate tile pieces.
It measures 72 inches from point to point and 35.5 inches across, and is about 2 inches thick.

We currently have it crated and ready to ship if needed (buyer pays for shipping) or we welcome local pick up.
You can reply to this email or text me with questions, offers or to come see it.
I will remove the ad when it is gone.
Asking $5,200 we will consider all offers

Floors of this type are known from the first century BC onward.
A description of this style of floor from an art dealer in New York:
"It is composed of verde oliva (green) and white marble lozenges, the green lozenges combined to form three six-pointed stars in the center, bordered by brown and red colored marble.
This type of pavement is defined as opus sectile in which the mosaic floor consists of relatively large, thin slabs of colored marble forming all-over geometric or floral patterns.
The clever arrangement of the different colors into trompe-d'oeil receding and advancing cubes is typical of the best pavements of this type."
