I am looking for a team of 1-3 people to help me film a documentary on the psychological consequences of sexual trauma and what happens when you are one of the "lucky" few who gets "justice" (out of every 1000 sexual assaults, 995 walk free). I will be sharing my own experience in what it was like reporting (and the horrific fallout), as well as experiences from other survivors and what paths they took to heal from the trauma.

I want to use the documentary to send to civil rights lawyers and state representatives as I am working on getting a new law created that protects children of victims from being traumatized. That is our main goal with this film, but I also want to explore topics that many other victims were not previously comfortable sharing.
The filming should take approximately 40 hours or less, the real work will be in the editing.
There will be compensation, but very low. I am looking for someone passionate about the subject matter. We will want to have money for promotion as I want this in festivals. Could be a great resume builder. I will cover production costs and assist with editing as well.
ETA? Could take two years to do this right. But we could have a film in 6 months. Has to be quality, or what is the point? Good lighting, audio and editing is essential.
Please get in touch if you can help in anyway. I am hoping to hear from other survivors, as well as from people who have good equipment and can assist with editing. We will be interviewing lawmakers. I want us all to put together a product that can make positive change in our community and hopefully get a new law in place that will prevent children of victims from suffering as well.
