Long story short: This engine came out of a snowmobile with 105 hours, was built for an ultralight aircraft and destined for a Formula 500 race car project that never happened. It sat for a couple of years and I have recently gone through it and cleaned it up. STD bore, honed, new rings, bearings, seals, gaskets, the usual.

It’s a fan cooled TA440-B-C201 made by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Quite a bit different then the J/S, F/A, F/C and TA-A etc.
Stock its 48 hp at 6500 rpms and I’ve “heard” up to 62 with boring, porting, carbs and exhaust tuning. It’s 7lb lighter and out preforms the Rotax 447 and 503 making it a popular alternative.
Has a toothed mag and housing to accept an electric starter
Racing Intake Manifold (up to 44mm if I remember correctly)
Custom “zoomy” style exhaust (the intent was dual expansion chambers)
Great compression at 130psi and will be closer to 140psi after the rings break in.
Also comes with a few additional extras:
Working mag and cdi. High performance rings and rod needle bearings. Full wiring harness with voltage regulator. Rebuilt fuel pump.
I also have a few Mikuni Racing carbs (around 30mm all the way up to 40mm). I can throw one in if it works for your application. I don’t think they are intended for aircraft applications.
