save yourself thousands - for sale the phenomenal $9000 retail top of the line Riese and Muller Multicharger with $950 Bosch Powertube 625 battery. have owned this bike twice. before the first RM, i had the Tern cargo bike, as well as the top of the line Urban Arrow. the urban arrow is unstable and unsafe, as the front suspension is totally isolated and disconnected from the rear. it's completely unsafe in wet conditions, unsafe on anything but clean flat roads. the tern gsd can't go offroad and is very rigid. it's a frail city bike. no electric cargo bike compares to the RM, it crushes all conditions, including snow, dirt, rain, off road.
RM is the Porsche of bikes, which is why I bought another one when the time came. kids now grown and no. longer needed. however as a stand alone bike, this thing will still destroy anything else on the market. that's what you have to realize. as a stand alone bike, it's still the best option. the handling is amazing, brakes are amazing, it's so safe. never ceases to amaze. it's exactly like driving a porsche, it just handles better, everything is better and superior quality.
kids love it to death. insanely good handling and braking. safety is first, and no other cargo bike compares, unless you're looking to make compromises or sacrifices, or just want to "putt" around flat ground. with this bike, you can CRUSH hills and offroad terrain, while carry cargo. i embarrass my friends regularly. they think they have some great, special new e-bike, and invariably they are embarrassed, all while i'm carrying extra weight. there's no contest. this is the best of the best. has a front shock and can go anywhere and do anything. total off road capable. i never got around to putting off road tires on this bike but i did on my previous Multicharger. there's nowhere you can't go.
includes Thule toddler seat.
includes heavy duty Yepp kids seat, for ages up to about 4-5.
bike has a brake light in back
bike has been serviced, well cared for, and needs nothing.
the disc brakes are the best
battery life is great, as is brake life.
bike goes 30MPH
has horn system and powerful headlight with high beam switch
use kids seats in any combination, or use none at all, as the back bench suffices.
w/out either of the great removable, slidable kids seats installed, you can fit two kids on the back bench as is,
totally up to you.
size Med, good for about up to 6'1". i'm 5'11" and have previously had the Larger frame version of this bike, and in hindsight it was too big. I can't say i regretted it, because i didn't know any better. but because it's a cargo bike, you want the lowest possible center of gravity. this can't be stressed enough. i was so glad once i got this Medium size. definitely the only way to go if you're under 6'2". better handling, more secure, better everything. just feels more connected, more stable, better center of gravity. i had zero complaints about the bigger Large frame as i just bought what was available. i never knew how much of a better fit the Med was until i got it. think of it like a 911. you want to be as low to the ground as possible.
has brake light, real horn, high beams. the best money can buy. there isn't even a close second.
this is the european version of the bike. it's never bothered me. you can have any dealer overwrite the firmware to update to US version if you wish, but the display does currently show MPH and everything is identical with the exception of the charger. bike is charged with a step down transformer box which is small and not inconvenient in the least bit. that's the only difference. many extras included totaling around $1000.
i've enjoyed this bike immensely, twice, i can't even begin to tell you the places we've been, it's incredible. only selling because kids are older now.
