I went and looked again and the engine is in fact a Chevrolet Merlin Engine. The block was cast with Merlin on it. Made by Chevrolet. This is in fact a Very Rare CHEVROLET built Merlin Engine. Aluminum block and heads. The heads have monster valves. Everything about the heads is TOP SHELF PARTS AND ASSEMBLY.
Merlin is readable from the front of the engine but its hard to get a clear picture of it with a cell phone. If you stand in front of the motor you can see it.
The Aluminum assembly on the front of the motor that holds all the belts, alternator, ect. Makes it very hard to get a good picture with my cell phone. THIS TRUCK has never been in an accident.
THIS TRUCK IS A STEAL FOR THE PRICE AND WHAT IT IS AND HAS. IT'S A BADASS TRUCK IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT. VERY LOW MILES ON THE MOTOR!!

This truck has a Very Rare CHEVROLET MERLIN 572ci Engine, balanced and blue printed. 740hp, I have the DYNO RESULTS documentation to prove that fact.

I have over $65k invested in this truck. I have all the receipts, who worked on it, dates, and obviously the location of the shops. The front of the motor has a complete polished aluminum assembly that has all serpentine belts, alternator, power steering unit, ect.
Has a bench seat. I have a brand new very nice cover for it that needs to be installed, that is in my basement.
This truck was a special ordered truck with every option available at the time. Existing bed Wood and runners are in excellent condition.
I have brand new Oak wood for the bed, brand new chrome steel runners, stainless steel bolts and nuts. I have a gallon of lacquer to finish the very nice new Oak wood.
EVERYTHING YOU WOULD NEED TO MAKE THIS TRUCK SHOW CONDITION. THE TRUCK WAS ASSEMBLED IN THE CHEVROLET FACTORY IN FREMONT, CALIFORNIA.
FROM MY UNDERSTANDING ONLY AROUND 2500 OF THIS STYLE TRUCK WAS PRODUCED. AND IT WAS SPECIAL ORDERED.
I AM THE 2ND OWNER OF THIS TRUCK. THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR RACED.
IT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 4 BOLT MAIN 350 CHEVROLET MOTOR. I THINK I STILL HAVE IT IN STORAGE, NOT SURE, I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE STORAGE UNIT FOR YEARS.
It has a Dana 30 rearend and a high performance transmission with a shift kit installed. Column shift transmission. Chrome steering column with adjustable steering wheel that moves up and down for comfort. Excellent Stainless Steel Exhaust System. Sounds like a Funny Car a idle.
I have 7 folders of all documented changes in this truck. 2 gas tanks. One behind the driver's seat and one under the bed. As it sits the Bed wood is perfect. I do have New wood and stainless steel bed runners with all new polished hardware ready to be installed. This is a California truck never driver in the rain or snow.
I would suggest that you flat bed tow it to your own destination so you can go over it before driving it on a regular basis and to check everything out.

If you want a "sleeper" and a very rare and fast truck don't pass this up. No disappointments. This truck is VERY FAST.
It has special made front coil springs for its front weight and stature. Brand new Mickey Thompson tires. BRAND NEW DASH PANEL, BRAND NEW CLUSTER GAUGES AND PANEL, CHROME INSIDE DOOR PANELS.
Less than 500 miles on the motor. It was broke in carefully according to the motor builders instructions.
I am the 2nd owner of this truck. Also have the Original 17" wheels that were on the truck. The wheels on it now were Special made and designed to handle its horsepower. Tires are brand new Special order Mickey Thompsons.
