2005 Tahoe. Purchased private party several months ago for wife. Too big for her tastes. It seemed fine on test drive. Coming home on highway not good. Severe shake. Balanced and rotate reduced shake from 8/9 to a 1, but still there. Took to a mechanic who said front wheel drive encoder motor needed replaced. Had front diff oil changed and replaced encoder. Service 4WD light is on dash. Engine seems to run strong and smooth. It has been dependable for a daily driver, but I cannot justify any more time or dollars. I have $4,000 tied up in this thing.
