Antique dining room table. 1800’s vintage
Oak top. Round.
Oak pedestal.
Oak feet. Hand carved clawfoot.
I would say from the late 1800’s and came from the upstate New York region but has been in storage for 30 years.
Obviously the pedestal and feet have been painted. The 3-tone scheme is probably not appealing these days. But the paint can be stripped. I’m not up for this project. Although I love antiques, and I like projects, I don’t have a shop where I can work in this item.
Other things it needs: New bolts needed for the feet attachments. They are loosely attached for the photo and the old nuts don’t turn well. The top is obviously worn. The top is currently not bolted to the pedestal which I think is for transportation and storage ease. So there needs to be new fasteners for the piece that attaches the pedestal to the top. There are no leaves, although the table top is designed to accommodate them. They are gone forever I’m afraid.
