What to expect if I care for your child/ren:
Daily log: I like to keep logs so that the parents can be aware of activities while in my care. Such as meals eaten, when nap time was taken, ect. How often are the children playing outside and where are they playing.
What weather related items should be supplied for outdoor play? (e.g. bathing suit, sunscreen, towel, mittens, hats, snow pants, snow boots, etc.)
Parents will be expected to provide proper weather clothing for each day as needed.
If you have indoor or outdoor toys that you would like to donate, that is fine.
If for any reason I need to transport your child/ren:
You will be expected to provide: Car seats will be used and parents will supplie them. My rule is safety first! Seatbelts must be worn at all times in my vehicles. I will require the parent/s to sign a permission form for things such as going to: A day at the park. A fun activity day, ect.
Emergency contacts and numbers must be provided, with no exceptions. Parents will also be expected to inform me with the nearest ER that you choose me to take your child to, should an emergency happen.
Toys From Home:
Which toys (if any) are allowed to be brought from home? How will they be shared with the other children?
Are any types of toys not allowed to be brought in? Will be labeled with names?
Meals and Snacks:
If there are any allergies or certain foods you do not want your child to eat, it needs to be in written form and signed by both me and the parent/s. Both me and the Parent will each hold a copy for the safety of the child.
Be sure to make your letter clear. Who will provide snacks for the child/ren?
Rest & Nap Time:
What are the expectations for rest and nap time by age of child? Where will children rest/nap?
Who supplies the bedding? Can I launder the bedding and clothes if needed? What comfort toys are allowed at rest time?
If your child is in toilet training:
Please be sure to leave your child with enough clothes to change into should they get soiled.
Parents are expected to supplies diapers and wipes.
Discipline: I am the kind of mother who uses discipline the same ways supper nanny teaches.
As the provider it is my responsibilitie to report if child abuse/neglect is suspected.
What happens if a parent knows in advance that they will be late to pick up their child. The parent should make a courtesy call.
Who else is authorized to pick up the child besides the parents? Parents must fill out and sign a release to pickup.
What happens if no one is reachable and the child has not yet been picked up?
What are the fees for late pick ups with or with out notification?
Written Permission: If we plan to do water activities, what are the parents policies for this? Do the parents fill out a release to allow their child to participate?
