Job Purpose: Serves as the scale operator/attendant, also provides clerical support and maintenance and general upkeep of the Connell resources Asphalt Plant house.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Daily opening, set up, shut down and closing of the scale house.
• Operate a truck scale indicator and weigh in trucks accurately.
• Ensure all trucks are set up on the correct job for the day.
• Set up jobs – destination and trucks.
• Keep printer stocked with ticket paper.
• Ensure ticket slots are kept organized throughout the day.
• Prepare and send reports as required to designated recipients per procedure/instructions.
• Ensure scale house is clean and trash is removed when full and completely removed every Friday.
• Complete and sign daily timecard and submit by deadline.
• Work safely at all times, observing all CRI Policies, OSHA Regulations, and Site Specific requirements and policies.
Qualifications:
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Specialized knowledge: None
• Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly in English both in speaking and in writing. Proficient in using the Computer, MS Office, and email. Organizational skills and attention to details required. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and use a calculator. Customer service skills required.
• Abilities: Ability to multi task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to clearly lead/direct operations involving multiple types of equipment/machinery. Ability to learn and retain new skills.
• Professional Certification: USDA Certified Weigher License required. Either have or be willing and able to obtain after hire.
• Licenses: Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience: A minimum of one year clerical experience preferably in the Construction Industry.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
