This consists of a RAM magnetic base mount that the detector and the H.A.R.D transmitter sit on, a double-ended stem for attaching to a RAM ball mount somewhere on your bike, the detector itself of course, and then the helmet-mounted receiver + LED light.
Basically the way that this works is once the detector goes off, the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver on your helmet, which then flashes the LED, indicating that the radar/laser has picked up something.

The only thing missing is a power cord... since this was used on my motorcycle, the system was hardwired. The new owner of my bike wanted the wiring, so the detector does not come with it. You will need to use an OEM Escort setup to power the detector... either their 12v SmartCord or their hardwire system.
