Office Manager Job Description
Qualifications:
Proficient on the computer, experienced with Word processing, Excel, email list management, Google docs, Gmail, PowerPoint, and website use and updating
Able to maintain confidentiality
Self-starter, able to work independently
Takes direction from church's Pastor, and, in the absence of full-time Pastor,
from the Church Moderator, Business Manager, and Chair of the Personnel Committee
Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and with excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities & Duties:
Reports and is responsible to the Senior Pastor (see above)
Includes general receptionist, clerical, and secretarial duties
Prepares the Sunday Bulletin
With guidance from the pastor or moderator, sends a mid-week email Update and a monthly Visitor
Maintains a church mailing list and prepares mailings for the church
Attends, takes notes, and prepares minutes of monthly Diaconate meetings
Prepares the monthly “Bills to Pay” list for the treasurer
Helps prepare a yearly budget for the church
Serves as the contact person for communication for building use
Maintains the church calendar
Personnel recording of flex/vacation time
