The Motherboard would make a good base for a homebrew NAS if you had a case for lots of drives. You could also fit a few more drives in this case too.
Or, make it a cheap Proxmox server.
If you want to use the computer as is, Linux Mint OS is installed and ready to go. Just follow the guide when you first turn it on and set it up how you want it, just like you would for any new computer. This is a great and cheap way to try any Linux Distro without messing with your current setup.
