Essential Functions
• Operate a manual transmission tractor-trailer in various driving environments and weather conditions between locations
• Driving for extended periods of times adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor/trailer(s)
• Dropping and hooking trailer(s) and changing equipment as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ CDL driving experience
• Class A CDL driver license
• Clean MVR and current medical card
• Experience operating side dumps
• Experience hauling heavy equipment with a lowboy trailer preferred
• Knowledge of federal, state and local DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must be available to work overtime
• Keep trucks and trailers well maintained
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and safety
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to perform job duties including: able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle; frequent use of hands, arms, legs and whole body; long periods of standing or sitting; frequent walking and climbing; able to lift and/or move in excess of 50 pounds. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including very hot, cold and wet conditions.
Work Reporting Locations
Supervisors will inform employees of the work reporting location; the location will vary depending on project location; employees are expected to have reliable transportation to and from the work reporting location.
